Title I is a program that is funded by the federal government. It ensures that our students “have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments” (U.S. Department of Education, 2014).

The PA Department of Education has a website for Title 1 families to access Parent Involvement materials. You may request a single copy of one or more (up to 10 titles) of the booklets from the resource Center completely free of charge.
When you make your booklet selections, you can check up to ten resources that you would like to receive in the mail. These materials are divided into twelve different catagories: Career Awareness, Personal Development, Parent/School Involvement, Special education, Life Skills, Child Safety, Child Development, Title 1, Helping Your Child Learn, Family Communications, Middle School and substance Abuse to make your specific area(s) of interest easy to locate. The symbol* indicates that the item that you have chosen is geared toward children.
